La Cala de Mijas, Costa del Sol, Spain (Mijas area), Situated 10 minutes from Fuengirola and La Cala and 20 minutes from Malaga airport lies Santana Golf and Country Club, which has been formed from an old avocado plantation between two rivers. This spacious and beautiful golf course was designed by Cabell B. Robinson, and it has several water features. Many of the fairways are lined with avocado trees. The course has 4 par 3s, 10 par 4s and 4 par 5s. Golfers will have to use every club in the bag. The longet hole measures 595 metres from the back tees with the river coming into play. The course is flat enough so that a buggy is not necessary.
