Reasonable
rates, good management and a friendly atmosphere in this traditional
British-style golf club have made it extremely popular. It was
designed by Gary Player and offers a challenge to players of all
levels. The course, set in the Paraiso valley and traversed by
streams, many of which are hidden, winds round two lakes and through
hundres of trees. The wide fairways are bordered by heavy rough.
The 6th hole is generally regarder as the best on the course,
a par-five dogled left where you drive must steer clear of two
well-poitioned bunkers, left and right, and your second shot should
be aimed to the left in order to avoid landing in the lake.
The green has two tiers. El Paraíso have a special category
of "overseas membership" designed to make it easier
to reserve tee times, especially during the busy winter months,
ideal for visiting golfers who only spend part of the year here
on the Costa.
