El Candado is a short but challengin nine-hole course situated in a valley just five kilometres east of Málaga.
Designed by Carlos Fernández Caleya in 1968, making it one of the first golf courses on the Costa del Sol.
El Candado features small undulating greens and rolling fairways.
From the highway towards Motril take the exit for el Candado. The course, which is about 7 kilometres from the centre o Málaga, can be seen from the highway.
