Añoreta Golf, the first course to be designed by Spanish Ryder Cup hero José María Cañizares, provides golfers with a good challenge in the form of water hazards at no fewer than 11 of its holes.
Particularly tough are the 528-metre 3rd hole, despite its spectacular views over the sea, the equally dificult 7th, the par four 8th with its tricky dogled and a lake to the right of the fairway, and the unforgettable 17th hole where the green is surrounded by water on three sides.
